Bayside Quilters of the Eastern Shore has again chosen the historic, seaport town of Oxford, Maryland for the location of its quilt show, “A Garden of Quilts”. The quilt show will be a three-day event running from Friday, May 31 (opening day of the show) through Sunday, June 2.
The show hours are from 10am to 4pm for Friday and Saturday, May 31 and June 1. The final show day is Sunday June 2 and the hours are from 10am to 3pm. The quilt show will be held in both the Oxford Community Center and the St Paul’s Church located on Oxford’s main street with vendors in the Oxford Fire Hall.
Bayside Quilters is a quilt guild with approximately 180 members who meet the second Wednesday of each month at the Easton Fire House in Easton, Maryland. The guild’s members are committed to the creation, study, and sharing of quilts as well as quilt making. Outreach programs are an important part of the guild’s activities with many organizations receiving quilted items from the guild. Speakers, 4H classes, adult classes and other educational activities are part of our mission.
” A Garden of Quilts” will feature a special display of antique quilts, a variety of our members’ quilts, an appraisal service by well known quilt expert Phyllis Hatcher, and a boutique of items for sale to the general public including some quilts. Vendors will have a variety of items for sale.
Admission is $10, and tickets will be available at the Oxford Community Center each day of the three-day show. More information including directions is available at our website at www.baysidequilters.com.
