Concours d’ Elegance to debut at Talbot Country Club

Jaguar Land Rover of Annapolis presents the 14th Annual St. Michaels Concours d’ Elegance to be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Join us on the tranquil waterfront grounds of Talbot Country Club located between St. Michaels and Oxford, in Easton, MD.
The Talbot Country Club, founded in 1910, holds the prestigious distinction of being the oldest continually operated golf and social club on the Eastern Shore. It lies on an idyllic setting along the banks of Trippe Creek near Oxford MD. Oxford locally known as the ‘New Hamptons” was once home to the very first U.S. Naval Academy.
“Talbot Country Club’s beautiful landscape, says Concours Chairman Luke L. Phipps, “it’s rolling hills and fairways of grandeur are the perfect backdrop for an event which has style, luxury and elegance at its core”. The Country Club’s waterfront lawn and show field on Sunday will feature rare, pre-war European and American coach-built automobiles, as well as significantly important post-war Sports and Touring Cars. A special class of previous Best in Show winners is being created along with a new featured class of Classic Land Rover Vehicles. This New Land Rover Class will be joined by a Best in Show exhibition of Senior Award-Winning Automobiles from significant Concours throughout the country, including Pebble Beach, Amelia Island, Boca Raton and Radnor Hunt. Phipps adds, “Experiencing Talbot Country Club’s friendly membership, General Manager Rob McWilliams’ compassion and caring attention to detail along with Chef David Hayes’ culinary expertise and commitment to local ingredients, makes for a welcoming and grand setting.” Phipps continues, “We’ll be debuting an enhanced exclusive VIP and Entrants gallery, which will feature a gourmet garden party with live music, flowing champagne and culinary delights.”
Enhancing the mood of stepping back in time and in the tradition of historic Concours events held in Paris, the exhibit of automobiles will be complemented by an elegant fashion show and an additional display of classic wooden speed boats moored at the pier along the show field.
“We also have a new official Host Hotel, The Historic Tidewater Inn of Easton” continues, Phipps. “Established in 1949, The Tidewater has traditionally set the standard for accommodations on the Eastern Shore”. Under management by the famous Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, with a newly restored lobby, restaurant and the addition of premier guest rooms and suites, the Tidewater Inn offers guests an unparalleled escape in the heart of downtown Easton. Set amidst elegant colonial architecture, award winning restaurants, boutiques and specialty shops, the Tidewater Inn is steeped in history and charm with roots tracing back to 1712.
Please join us for a day of Grand Classic Motoring, classic wooden speed boats, fashion, and casual elegance on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Easton, Oxford and St. Michaels are home to numerous galleries and museums, award-winning dining, luxury accommodations, spas, and an upscale collection of boutiques.
