Mid-Shore Non-Profits Invited to Honor a Woman Who “Leads the March”

The Women Who Make a Difference luncheon, which celebrates local women who have made special contributions to a non-profit organization, will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Miles River Yacht Club.  Easton AAUW (the American Association of University Women) invites all Mid-Shore non-profit groups to nominate a woman who has made a special contribution to their organization for recognition. The event honors the accomplishments of many exceptional women and gives all who attend an opportunity to learn about the countless ways that their dedication enriches our civic life.
The 2020 theme — Leading the March — links the luncheon to a series of events marking the centennial of women’s right to vote.
AAUW’s Easton Branch has empowered, inspired, educated and advocated for women on the Mid-Shore for 62 years. Nationally and internationally, AAUW had been a leading voice promoting education, equity and opportunity for women and girls since 1881.
Groups that want to participate must register by February 10. A representative of each nominating organization should introduce each honoree. To request a registration form, contact Annabel Lesher, 410-310-6114 / annabel@atlanticbb.net.
