Memorial Hospital Foundation Announces Plans for 6th Annual Sporting Clays Classic

University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation has announced plans for its 6th Annual Sporting Clays Classic, scheduled for Saturday, October 24, at The Point at Pintail in Queenstown. Proceeds from the event will be dedicated to the purchase of a Faxitron machine for the Clark Comprehensive Breast Center. The Faxitron is used by surgeons to evaluate an area that has been identified for removal by mammography.

Environmental Concern Announces the Eastern Shore Seed Stewards Initiative

Environmental Concern (EC), in celebration of 48 years since the first native plant seed collection expedition, is pleased to announce the launch of the Eastern Shore Seed Stewards initiative. EC’s Native Plant Nursery, operating in St. Michaels since 1972, has learned from experience that it takes more than a ‘village’ of experienced native plant specialists to collect enough seed to grow over 110 species of native plants.
